GLOUCESTER, England, October 2009

South Gloucester council in the UK has recently taken Reslink’s NFC phone solution into operational use for 170 homecare workers. The system was supplied by CM2000, a Reslink reseller and the UK’s leading provider of electronic monitoring for the homecare sector. CM2000 confirms the client visits of more than 40,000 homecare workers every month using a variety of technologies, of which NFC is the latest addition.

Reslink’s NFC product is fully integrated to the CM2000 back-office system, providing a transparent interface from the end users viewpoint, branded as a CM2000 product. Clients can opt for a simple “Touch & Go” solution for basic proof-of-visit, or the “Advanced RFID” module which provides the care worker with much more functionality in their hands. In this case, retrieving their planned visits, checking client information, recording tasks performed for the client or incidents that have occurred there, and many other features are all available on the workers phone.
